Dr. Rodney Buckson Scholarship Award

Dr. Buckson was one of the Professors who was instrumental in establishing Victory Bible 

Training College. He had extensive knowledge of the Word of God and loved to teach 

transforming Truths to the students. He demonstrated his commitment to Christian Education by 

driving 3 hours to Class to instruct the students. He had a love for Jesus and His

People.

To further cement his legacy, Dr. Buckson was one of the presbyters who ordained Drs. Derek 

and Claressa Wilson in Ministry 32 years ago. Dr. Buckson went Home to be with the Lord in 

January of 2021 and is greatly missed by all. We are here to recognize and honor the great 

achievements he bestowed upon VBTC.

On behalf of his love and commitment to Victory Bible Training College, we are proud to 

announce the Dr. Rodney Buckson Scholarship Award, which will be given to an incoming Freshman.
